Leanne Ma is a writer whose fiction has appeared in Colorado Review, Gulf Coast, and Salamander. She received the 2024 PEN/Robert J. Dau Short Story Prize for Emerging Writers and has been nominated for a Pushcart Prize. She holds an MFA from UMass Boston, and her work has been supported by Sewanee and Bread Loaf.

She grew up between Hong Kong and Canada and spent a decade working in public policy. She now lives in Brooklyn and teaches college writing.
